30x30 Day 3 Here Come The Men in Black
I should of worn black and my Ray Bans for this location. It’s the place were the aliens kept the spaceships in the movie Men in Black. This place is in my city and almost in my backyard if you consider 3 miles away your backyard. I technically don’t have a backyard because I live in an apartment. I love love this structure and its uniqueness, there is nothing like it and when I see it when I’m not in town it makes me think of home.
Here is an interesting post about it in Stickers and Donuts
Today by the way was a great day, I manage to capture what I wanted. I had so many pictures to choose from and the location turned out great no one around for gawking. I thought of a great thing to say when people ask what I'm doing, I tell them I am a location scout for a fashion magazine. I haven’t really had to explain but I’m gonna go for it. There are a lot of nosy people around.
Let me get on with the show.
(H&M blue button-up, skinny pants, ruffle front shirt, Express grey hooded drape cardigan, unknown boots and belt, NYC street vendor scarf, Target sunglasses, Armani men's watch, gold hoop earrings, DIY ruffled necklace)
There you have it. Day 3
Now to think of what to wear tomorrow, I heard its going to be close to 40 degrees, Yay! It calls for a tunic with tights, ooo maybe I go crazy with the tights color.
I’m so dangerous. Not! Whatever ♥

30x30 Day 2 Happy Ground Hog day!
So apparently the Punxsutawney Groundhog didn’t see his shadow today so spring should be coming early. Good. The weather in NYC is getting annoying, seriously. I love the winter cold and few snows and all but this winter has been ridiculous.
Today it sleeted all day and my car was a solid block of ice this morning and you needed ice skates to go down a sidewalk it was so icy. But sometime in the afternoon it warmed up enough to make the snow on the ground a slushy mess.
Now normally I don’t complain about this but I forgot my hat at home today so my hair got wet and so it got frizzy. Frizzy never happens to me but the combo of the sleet/rain mix and the static my hair was well fuzzy.
(H&M leopard blouse and grey sweater, Target dark denim skinny jeans, Madden Girl tan boots, Handmade necklace, earrings and bracelet)
(F21 cross ring, diamond band and Tommy watch)![]()
My father secretly wanted to be involved
(Wrangler jeans, navy blue collared button-up shirt, Lands End Jacket, leather gloves, grey hat and black boots)
Puddles, puddles, puddles everywhere.
Tomorrow there is sun in the forecast so hopefully the weather will be good.
Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear, Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair. Oh eff enough of this. Whatever ♥

30X30 Day 1, Am I Really Gonna Do This?
I’m not mad, I'm frustrated.
My frustration isn't coming from 30x30, but from the weather and me being tired and cranky.
First of all NYC has been having the craziest winter, today it snowed, sleeted, iced, rained, snowed then iced again. I had to wake up at 5 am to shovel the snow off my car which wouldn’t be so bad but I couldn’t sleep at all last night. But the weather fouled up my plans for a decent photo shoot.
I have to take my shots in the afternoon because there isn't light when I go to work in the morning, but today I got home late due to the weather. My car was covered inch thick of ice, so I had to scrap that off to get home. So by the time I got home there was practically no light for any good indoor shots.
So after trying to make it work indoors I ran outside not caring how nosey my neighbors are and took some shots.
The outdoor shots would have been ok except my frustration of the day shows on my face.
So with out further ado.
The original idea for the outfit, accessorized with belt and chain necklace
You can see in the first picture that I accessorize my outfit with a belt and a chain necklace. Well I scratched the belt because its too big to wear at the waist it kept falling down all day at work and the chain I never ended up wearing at all because I already had a necklace on that was much more simpler. Coco Chanel said "always take off one thing (accessory, non important clothing item) before you leave the house"
(MNG cardigan. H&M striped shirt, Old Navy jeans, H&M ballet flats, H&M necklace and unseen bracelet, Lands End Coat)
See a sort of smile. It was getting chilly and the sidewalk I was on was a sheet of ice so basically I skated to my location.
Ok enough of this, I need to plan tomorrows outfit. Oh you should see my face now, I managed to knock my tripod down camera and all, not once but twice. The only thing that broke was a knob on the tripod, it will live.
Oh I made this today
I better have a better day tomorrow. Whatever ♥

30 for 30 February 2011

I am finally starting the 30 for 30 challenge that I happened to spy on Kendi Everyday’s blog. I have mentioned it in a post back in December and now Kendi is starting a new season so I decided I want to do it.
Compared to what I see on the other bloggers sites my clothing choices aren't as fancy, I don’t have any skirts or heels. But I work in an environment where I cant. But it just might prove a point where any wardrobe can be remixed.
So without further delay here is what I have decided to use for my 30 for 30 remixes.
So there you have it. My 30 for 30, hopefully I can keep up with the outfits. I cant wait till February 1st where I cant test out my first outfit. I am also looking forward to what other bloggers are going to come up with. Wish me luck.
By the way since NYC has been getting so much snow, I will have to wear my snow boots to shovel and to get back and forth to work but I am not going to count them since they really don’t go with anything in general. So if you don’t say anything we can keep it a secret. Whatever ♥
A Snowy January
Do you love the snow or do you hate it? Me, I ♥ it! Yes I have to shovel my car out and go to work in it, but I think of the shoveling as a workout for the upcoming bikini season.
My street Monday morning of December 27th after the Blizzard. 20 inches was recorded in Central Park other places got more.
View from my apartment Thursday morning January 27. This storm dumped 19 inches, but not a blowing snow blizzard like the one in December.
We have gotten a few snows in between those last too but not significant enough to make a fuss about. Lets just say I’ve perfected my snow shoveling technique.
With all the snow that’s been falling, I've been dying to play out in the snow. I want to make snow angels and snowmen maybe build a fort and have a snowball fight or perhaps go sledding. When I was a kid my family and I would go to a golf course that had a few hills and take our old metal and wood sleds to go sledding. Its those times that I miss to this day about my family being together and being young.
Being that there is so much snow around I decided to play, ahem, do a photo shoot in the snow. I did manage to make a snowman. My snowman by the way was tiny and cheesy with no nose, arms, eyes or mouth.
That little thing is my pathetic snowman
What I am wearing.
Jacket and boots – Spotted Moth, Fur collar and bag necklace – Claire’s , Sun glasses – Ray Ban, Corduroy pants – American Eagle, Denim shirt, white longsleeve, and gloves – Target, Wool hat – Hand knitted by me
As far as what I am wearing, there are two repurposes. My hat is made from a sweater that I hand knitted my self that got a few stains over the years. The fur collar on the jacked it a separate piece that I just pinned on with safety pins.
Also some randomness, I got my bangs cut today. You can see the difference between the shot in front of the snow bank and the last shot of me. I think I look better, the bangs cover the 5 finger forehead I have.
By the way as I am typing this it is currently snowing, I am hoping for at least an inch because NYC needs just 9/10ths of an inch in order for it to be the snowiest Month on record, I mean if you are close you might as well beat it, right? The month that was the snowiest was just set back in February 2010 with 36.9inches. NYC already is the snowiest January on record with a total of 36 inches beating out a record of 27.4 set in 1925.
Watch out I throw hard!
Records smeckords. Whatever ♥
